Fairness in Leadership: Knowing When to Ask and When to Correct
During a recent seven-day teaching trip through Indiana and Wisconsin, one topic surfaced again and again: fairness in leadership. In horsemanship, fairness is about more than being kind or using less pressure. It’s about creating a balance of rapport and respect that allows the horse to clearly understand what we’re asking. When communication is clear, learning becomes easier and confidence begins to grow.
